About Nightshade

Nightshade is the magical moniker for Nicole Marxen, a practicing witch and intuitive from Dallas, TX.

Nicole is a two-time participant in Britten LaRue’s workshop circle for emerging readers, The Magician’s Table (2023-2024). She is currently in study with Mary Grisey, as well as a member of Dana Newkirk’s Magic of the Month Club. Her other teachers include Rebecca Padgett, Lindsay Mack, Amanda Yates Garcia, and Laura Tempest Zacroff.

A lifelong devotee to the arts, Nicole also channels her gifts into making music that lends itself well to the dark. Her first full-length solo record, Thorns, was released August 9th, 2024.
